Leaving On A Jet Plane

And we’re off!  One of my greatest enjoyments of traveling is getting to see it through the eyes of a 4 year old.  He helps us to slow down and capture the simple moments.  He was experiencing the first flight that he could remember.  When I asked him what kind of fun things he would like me to pack in his back pack for the 11 hours of flying, he responded, “Don’t worry mom, I’ll be busy looking out the window the whole time.”  And that he did, for the most part.  Thankfully he slept for 6 hours as well.

Shanny and Gram

There is a sting of saying good-bye but it is something we choose to endure.  We are so thankful for the support we have from those who understand our strive to embrace life intentionally and raise our kids in a way that fosters thinking outside the box with a global flare.  We appreciate our public school education and also the opportunity to absorb the experience and culture that travel provides.

If these 3 girls don’t get us kicked out of the hotel with their loud laughter I will be surprised.
