Our every morning in Nice started with greeting this gentleman who perched outside our apartment quietly collecting money. He and Raleigh had a bit of a bond.
We were thankful to have a beach day. It was interesting to watch people come and go as we laid there. Many would come in their business attire, slip out of it and into their beach wear in the quickest of ways and soak up the sun for 15 minutes to an hour and then back into their work clothes.
We were some of the first ones to the beach so we had our pick of the best spot. People quickly filled in around us. At first there were a few sailboats and as time passed we counted up to 37!
Watching the girls interact is one of my greatest joys. They entertained us greatly as they rented a paddle board, meant for one, but they squeezed 3 on it.
Den, Raleigh and I stayed tucked under an umbrella for most of the time. It was a wonderful day!
